Your Body is Your Temple

I know sometimes its hard to even imagine that as a statement of truth.  We all have our good and bad days. Its when it’s a constant daily bad day due to the way our physical body looks, is when it can become dangerous to our physical, mental, spiritual and emotional body.

Think about it, our bodies can do so much! They allow us to do the things we love to do on a daily basis. They are beyond any supercomputer that can ever be created by man. Our bodies allow us to play, sing, smile, surf, dance, play basketball, hug, laugh, and so much more.  Our bodies don’t need to be reminded to breathe, to blink, to digest, to fight off disease, or to love. It’s a wonderfully marvelous phenomenon, and too often we forget that. The society we live in doesn’t make it any easier, but its time to take control of our bodies and our health, and give it the love, care, compassion, and honesty that it deserves.

Our bodies are Divine entities that we need to hug on a daily basis! I give myself hugs all the time, and let me tell you, it feels real good!  You are yourself only once on this Earth, so live, laugh, and love. Never forget to give back to your body for all that it gives and provides you on a daily basis.  Be grateful everyday, and you will see the magnificence of self-healing.

The only question is, how to get there? The answer is, with support.  Reach out and ask for help if you don’t know how, and you have tried for years.  There is so much love and support in this world, you just need to give it a chance and say hello. Give love and receive love and see for yourself the amazing ride life will take you on!

Surrender to the pace of your body

Too often we go against the natural rhythm of our bodies and end up sick, in exhaustion, unhealthy, and unhappy with/in life.  When we go against the flow of nature and the natural flow of life is when our bodies fight back.  Our bodies tell us that we need to slow down and take it easy and to give it some loving. Our bodies are smarter than we think, and so take time to breath, to do the things you love to do, to smile, laugh, and play, to hug, to watch the sunset and to eat your beautiful meals. Give your body the chance to enjoy life, for your body deserves it.  Look at the marvel of your body and all its abilities! So much we can do, yet we are so limiting. Open your eyes and your world and explore!!!

Balance Primary and Secondary Food to have Optimal Health

Food can fill us, but it cannot fulfill us. Healthy relationships, regular physical activity, a fulfilling career, and a spiritual practice are what fulfill your life. When our lives are fulfilling, we don’t turn to food to satisfy our hunger.  Overeating is many times a response to us being out of the balance of life. We go on seeking, and forget that everything we need is already here, we just need to take that first initial step to create change and leave our comfortable nest.  When we are in an unhealthy relationship, working a job we hate, don’t move our bodies, and have no faith in the beauty of this Universe, we go through life not living it! Such a shame to waste such precious marvel and be blind to see the beauty life has to offer. And that shame is the reason to our guilt. Instead of being patient with oneself and loving oneself, we are bullies to ourselves and punish our guilt by engaging in life threatening and life shortening activities.

We punish ourselves by staying in unhealthy relationships where we suffer, or by collecting weight on our bodies and not moving them enough cutting off circulation and creating stagnation in your body, or by continuing to work where you are under constant stress and dread waking up in the mornings to get there.  Life is not so limited, and yet we place ourselves in a box that we are then afraid to crawl out of. Out there is where there is true balance and harmony.

Its time to come out and play! Come out a fill your life with all that it has to offer! Life can always be a full glass! Forget the half glass, live life to its fullest and so your glass may always be full!

Eat more food that is alive and plant-based

Just as we are alive and breathing beings, so is our Earth and all that it provides.  The food Mother Earth provides is also alive and breathing! It also has energy that provides for its ability to grow. When we consume that food raw is when we are able to absorb its energy.  Not that cooking is bad, but when we heat the food is when it dies, as we would is someone put us on a skillet and fried us with butter! When we cook, we have the ability to heat our bodies with nourishing foods, and that’s great, but we also need a balance of food that is alive!

Plant-based food that is alive is a great form of detox! According to Ayurveda, an ancient form of lifestyle following the natural cycles of Mother Nature, Springtime provides us with greens to detox our bodies after a cold winter.  That is why it’s called Spring Cleaning! We start cleaning and clearing out our bodies so that our bodies can absorb the nutrients that come plenty during the summertime.  Nature is Truth, and when we go in the flow of life and Nature is when we are our happiest. Allow food to energize you, not drain you!

Take time for “Me Time”

My go on life is that Circulation is Law. It is just how things run on Earth and it is important to keep that circulation flowing. When we give and don’t receive, our life gets out of balance.  So give back to your physical, emotional, spiritual bodies and take time to give back to yourself.  Take time to be with yourself and reflect.  Realize I said to be with, not by yourself for I truly think we are never fully alone! We are with ourselves and with everything that surrounds us! We don’t life in a box, yet somehow our mind is able to create that box. Interestingly tricky thing our mind can be. It is healthy to take time with yourself, to be in silence, to meditate, to take a hot bath, to read, to write.  This is a great way to bring presence to your life. It’s a great way to get present with yourself and with life and from there can real change be created.

We love to distract ourselves with anything so that we don’t have to be with ourselves.  We sit and watch TV for hours so that we don’t feel alone, we go out constantly seeking company so we can be with, we do anything that we can so that we don’t have to be with ourselves.  Its time to change that, and enjoy being in your own presence, for if you cant, nobody can.

Focus on Health, not Weight

Our weight is only a fraction of what defines our health. Our weight does not determine our inner health, our spiritual and mental health.  It is a small fraction of our physical health. There are so many other factors that determine our true health, yet our society can be so limiting. When our WHOLE being is healthy is when we are at our highest. When we can balance our primary and secondary foods, give love to our bodies, and go with the flow of life is when life is full.  We are truly healthy beings, and it shows on the outside. We glow and everyone notices! It’s hard to hide a happy person!

Don’t limit yourself, life, and your health to a number on a scale! I don’t have a scale because I don’t believe that a number defines me, and rather than depending on a piece of metal to determine my health, I feel inside my body and see how I truly feel. I use to limit my life to the number on my scale, and life was not happy! Its great to find liberation and realize how much is out there.  I found support, I wanted so bad to be free, and so life took me on a journey to liberation. Get support if needed and don’t be ashamed to ask for help. We are all human and the help is out there, you just need to want it enough!

Importance of Meditation and Deep Breathing for Overall Well Being

Take a deep breath in…….and out…..Ahhhhhh! What an easy way to relax and connect with the present moment. Such a simple tool, yet often forgotten. Breath is our connection to life.  It is our connection to the Source of Life, yet we take it for granted.  We cannot survive without our breath, and how wonderful how we can always return to it because it is always there! How marvelous our bodies are that we don’t have to remember to breathe, because if we did, face it most of us would not be alive right now.  It would take all our energy to always remember to breathe. Our breath will not always be there for our physical bodies do leave this Earth, so savor each breathe and never forget to breath deeply!

Never Forget to Smile, Laugh, and Love with Everything that You Do!

This is my deepest philosophy! Life is to be celebrated and showered with laughter, smiles, hugs, and love!  Smiling was a simple tool towards my transformation and it helped me stay positive even in the hardest of moments. Its hard to be sad when you’ smiling or laughing.  We grow up and all of a sudden think we cannot laugh because we are adults and “mature”.  Such nonsense!  Life is made to enjoy, to be appreciated, to bring happiness! It just so happens that when we smile or when we laugh we display happiness! Our hearts burst with joy! How fun!

Love is Law! It is the creative energy that keeps everything in circulation and movement.  It is the energy around us! Life without love is stagnant and so limited! Boring! We can all live in abundance of love, for it is LOVE that brings color to our lives. So color your life! So often we believe we are unworthy of love and reject it. Too often we are afraid to love just in case it leaves us, yet our deepest fear is our deepest longing! So we go on through life longing, not living. So, LOVE AND BE LOVED!
